After several years in the ministry, I have learned two essential things; burnout is real, but so is refreshing.
Even in the middle of immense pressure, it is vital for me to make my way to the well for refreshing, to drink from the overflowing goodness and provision of an understanding God. I find my strength not in social media, but in the secluded sanctuary of my dwelling place with an almighty God; a place where he speaks so quietly that I must lean in to hear him speak. I find solace in reading his love letter to me, in hearing him sing over me, and in his warm embrace. Social media is but a platform God has given me to speak to a people so consumed by popularity and selfies, to cause them to want something more profound than likes and followers.
