The beauty of a lesson learned isn't found in its finality because a lesson is never thoroughly absorbed. The beauty is in the process; the mounting moments of sweat and tears poured out on the altar of personal sacrifice as, in each new phase of life, another level of understanding is gained. The beauty is found in the messy, dirty parts of life nobody sees, and one's character is built. It is in those times when relying on the guidance of the Holy Spirit is the only option worth taking - the only option leading to growth. Asking God to teach you isn't easy, pretty, or quick but it is worth it. Growth is worth it. The process is worth it.
