While kayaking in Arkansas today, I found myself in complete awe of God. He astounds me beyond words as he lavishes his love on me offering up new revelation of his character to his child waiting to hear her Father’s voice.
His love for me is the ultimate; pursuing and calling me deeper like a river rushes to join the depths of the ocean. Mercy is showcased in the glorious splendor of the skies in every brush stroke. His compassion is in every blade of grass, his grace in every summer shower, his justice in every instance of light and shadow. Painters and poets have tried capturing an image to compare, but their mortal hands are incapable of rendering such a masterpiece.
His hands scattered the stars that people spend countless hours studying, gives life to those that remain barren, paints with his fingertip a small portion of "the big picture" across the sky, and etches His love for humanity into the canvas of time. Nothing any man can create can duplicate the glorious love that the Father has for me.
